These two families got connected by having their kids enrolled at the same Christian school where Nelo and Wanda serve. It was through multiple exchanges during that season that they realized how their goals of serving God and serving the Liberty Hill community converged. Nelo and Wanda Velez have been in direct contact with a great number of families in the area through the church and school ministries while Jason and Kaela Thurman have been having the same experience through the Care First Clinic which they own. Through these direct points of contact they have come to realize the great need for people to gather together, support each other, and become part of an edifying community with genuine intentions of mutual blessing.
